PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Aunt Fannie’s; on a mission to create healthy homes, restore the biome we live in, recharge our immunity and strengthen our families with the most environmentally-friendly and human-friendly cleaning and pest solutions on the market, today announced the close of its $2.375 Million Series A financing. The round brings Aunt Fannie’s total funding to-date to $5.375 Million, and will accelerate growth initiatives including international expansion, new product development and innovation, and enhanced distribution.
The round was led by Monica Nassif, founder of Mrs. Meyer’s and Caldrea, David Charne, CEO at Fyrn, and Stuart Erickson, Senior Managing Partner at Guggenheim Securities. Additional investors included Kay Hong, CEO at Torrid and Brian Durst, CEO at Tribe 9 Foods.
Aunt Fannie’s improves the health of indoor microbiomes – homes and offices – by creating biodynamic, evolutionarily-adapted cleaning and pest solutions from unique, whole, and food-based ingredients. The company’s formulations are modernized, microbiomic, and millions of years in the making. Created from ingredients which have evolved along with humans over millennia, Aunt Fannie’s formulations are rated best-in-class as the healthiest and safest option for our homes, our bodies, and our families.
“Our existing investors came out big, taking our entire $2MM targeted raise, and we were lucky enough to oversubscribe the round with a few new investors as well,” said Mat Franken, CEO at Aunt Fannie’s. “As each of us continue to be bombarded with chemicals and toxins at an ever-increasing rate, it is more important than ever that we restore our indoor environments to the healthy, natural balance that our bodies have evolved to expect. This new capital will help fuel our mission and our growth on many levels including global brand awareness, channel expansion, new product innovation and world-class excellence across our global operations.”
Since its launch in 2013, Aunt Fannie’s is a clear industry leader in natural, healthy cleaning and pest control products. Its entire product line of 13 healthful, microbiomic cleaning solutions secured more “A” ratings than any competing brand in a scientific evaluation across three cleaning product categories by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).
Aunt Fannie’s is well-positioned for global success at the intersection of the $20 billion U.S. household cleaning products market, the rapidly growing $1 billion green cleaning products segment, and the $2.5 billion home and pesticide market. Aunt Fannie’s cleaning and pest control solutions are available online and in over 1,250 retailers including Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B Grocery Stores, True Value Hardware, Whole Foods and more throughout the United States and Canada.
